This Tour gives you a taste of the grand glories of India, combined with glimpses of basic traditional life. We visit fabulous Forts, Spiritual Centres, savour Rajasthan's magnificence and gaze at the unforgettable Taj Mahal.
Day 01: Arrive Delhi: Arrive Delhi. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 0:2 In Delhi: Morning sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi, including Humayun’s Tomb, The Red Fort, Qutab Minar and India Gate. Overnight stay.
Day 03: Delhi –Varanasi: Morning transfer to airport to board your flight to Varanasi. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Sarnath to view the ancient Buddhist stupas and monasteries. Day 04: Varanasi – Khajuraho: Early morning boat ride on the Ganges. Whilst the Priests chant, glide silently past the evocative Burning Ghats, quietly observing the devout bathing in the river. Walking tour of the city. Then fly to Khajuraho with an afternoon sightseeing of the exotically embellished Khajuraho Temples- a World Heritage site.
Day 05: Khajuraho – Agra by Train: Morning drive to Jhansi railway station to catch the Satabdi Express train to Agra, en-route visiting the beautiful palace at Orchha.
Day 06: In Agra: Morning visit to the Taj Mahal, dedicated to eternal love. Visit Agra Fort, a bastion of Mughal architecture and a World Heritage Site and the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, the father of Noor Jehan. Afternoon at leisure.
| Day 07 Agra –Jaipur by road 237 kms / 06 Hrs approx: Morning drive to Jaipur, en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, another World Heritage site and the fabled deserted city of Akbar the greatest of the Mughal Emperors. Day 08 In Jaipur: Morning Elephant ride up to the spectacular Amber Fort with its stunning side. Afternoon City sightseeing tour visiting the City Palace complex, Jantar Mantar Observatory and the delightful Palace of WindS. . Day 09: Drive to Delhi International Airport for your onward journey. You will have the Option of extending this Tour to visit Kathmandu in Nepal as well. Day 01: Arrive Cochin: Arrive Cochin where our representative will meet and transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay. Day 02: In Cochin: Morning city tour of Cochin, including the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Jewish synagogue, Chinese fishing nets and Spice market. Afternoon free. Evening witness the Kathkali dance show. Kathakali, popular as the art form of Kerala has been referred to as the first theatre of imagination of the world owing to its elaborate costumes, ornaments and facial make up. Overnight stay. Day 03: Cochin – Munnar by road 120 Kms/ 3 hrs approx: Morning drive to Munnar, a breathtakingly beautiful hill resort situated in the cradle of tea plantations, stretching in all directions. Upon arrival check in at your hotel. Overnight stay. Day 04: Eravikulam – Periyar by road 110 kms/ 2 hrs 30 min approx: Morning is free. After lunch take a scenic drive to Periyar, a part of the Project Tiger scheme and also home to large herds of elephants, bison and deer. Check in at your hotel. Overnight stay. Day 05: In Periyar: Optional take an early morning boat ride on Lake Periyar. One of the most fascinating wildlife sanctuaries in India, renowned for the herds of elephants and scenic beauty. In the afternoon visit plantations of tea, cardamom and pepper. Overnight. Day 06: Periyar – Kumarakom by road 133 kms/3 hrs approx: Morning drive through lush agricultural areas down the hills to reach Kumarakom. Kamarakom, a backwater destination, is home to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Take a boat ride at sunset to see the birds relaxing at night. Upon arrival check in at your hotel. Overnight stay. Day 07: In Kumarakom: Morning is free to explore the local area or just relax amidst the verdant surroundings. At afternoon your houseboat will pick you up at the resort and you will embark on a remarkable journey through the coconut-palmed canals. Your houseboat crew will take care of your every need, cook you delicious Kerala food and show you the places of interest. Overnight stay. Day 08: Alleppey to Mararikulam by road 55 kms/1 hrs 15 min approx: In the morning you will reach Allepey. After breakfast you disembark from the houseboat and transfer to your hotel. You can enjoy lazing on the tranquil beach or at the Ayurvedic beach resort where you can go for a whole body, mind and soul rejuvenation. Overnight stay. Day 09 & 10: In Mararikulam: Relax by the Beach or by the Pool. Day 11: Cochin: Transfer to Cochin airport for your onward journey. | |
